Pallets in Container Calculator
Choose a pallet and container to compare nominal mixed-orientation floor capacity.
A mixed layout can fit more than a simple grid.
Rotating selected pallets by 90° can use the container width more efficiently. That is why published counts sometimes differ for the same pallet and container.
These are nominal floor counts for planning. Actual loads may be lower because of container tolerances, damaged equipment, overhang, bracing, load-securing rules, and door clearance.
Frequently asked questions
How many Euro pallets fit in a 20ft container?+
A commonly used mixed-orientation estimate is 11 Euro pallets in a 20ft dry container.
How many Euro pallets fit in a 40ft container?+
A practical nominal estimate is about 23–25 Euro pallets depending on the exact layout and operational clearance; this first-version calculator uses 24.
Does a 40ft high cube fit more pallets on the floor?+
Usually no. A high cube adds internal height, not floor length or width, so the single-level pallet count is typically the same as a standard 40ft container.
